Renovo Simulations

Blurring the lines between simulation and reality

Renovo (Re.no.vo): verb (Latin)

1. To rebuild, recreate, remodel, renovate

2. A leading edge New Zealand simulation company

3. Part Task Trainers. Cockpit Procedural Trainers. Systems Device emulators

At Renovo we have a large range of products and technology available. Whether its a complete analogue instrument simulator, a modern glass cockpit, a desktop part task trainer or a mixutre of them all, we have the experience, knowledge and technical expertise to integrate COTS products with our designs to bring you a seamless training solution.

Our innovative visual system is state of the art, using the latest in LCD projector technology. The rear project design means we are able to generate screen sizes as large as 2.1m (diagonal) from a projection distance as short as 0.5m - yes thats half a metre!

We have combined all these features into our technology demonstrator. The Renovo LS172 is a fixed base device modeled on a Cessna 172 light aircraft. The cockpit is a faithful reproduction of the real aircraft with all instrumentation functioning exactly as it's real world counterpart does. The training environment boasts the following extensive features
  • Fully IFR capable
  • 170 degrees unobstructed out the window visual system
  • Full cross country navigation flights/mission are possible
  • Variable weather and cloud condition to virtually any level imaginable
  • Fully functional Communications and Navigation Avionics stack
  • Fully modeled and functional electrical system including circuit breakers
  • Four way intercom system for pilot, instructors and observers
